All workshops are held in the Clay Studio at 186 Cabot St., Beverly, MA, on Saturdays from 2:00pm - 4:00pm; with the exception of our raku workshop. Taught by local artists, these intensive two hour workshops focus on techniques in brushstrokes, wax resist, sgraffito, stenciling, masking, and more. Unleash your creativity and self-expression through slip trailing and sgraffito! Students will be supplied with four 6-inch greenware tiles. Tiles will be fired and clear-glazed.

Learn techniques in centering and throwing using big pieces of clay and coils on the wheel. Students will be supplied with 15lbs of clay. Colored slips will be used for surface decoration. Pieces will be fired and then clear-glazed.

An alternative to glazing! Learn the history and application of terra sigillata: an ancient technique using ultra-fine, deflocculated slip that is burnished to seal. Bring three bone dry, greenware pots to the workshop, or purchase your piece from our selection of ready-made greenware!
